Like many of the Tuscan farmhouses and mills in the area it was a part of the Piccolomini Todeschini estate. The actual owners come from one of the most ancient noble Italian families, as indicated by the stone crest of arms on the house. It is a perfect place for an Italian vacation in absolute peace. It is also ideal for those who want to combine relaxing with sightseeing. This exclusive Tuscan self-catered villa is elegant and welcoming. Its owner has tastefully decorated with antique furniture and ceramics throughout that render the guest’s stay the ultimate in an Italian country holiday setting. Our Tuscany landscapes are probably if not definitely the most beautiful in the world and here one can admire them in their prime setting. The altitude, 540 meters above sea level, is suitable for those who suffer with respiratory problems. The villa is in a strategically located close to the exit of the Autostrada for easy day trips around Tuscany and neighboring Umbria. It is near Sarteano, a lovely medieval town, Quercia al Pino, with a large commercial center, restaurants, and a multiplex cinema complex. Chiusi, famous for its Etruscan art museum and one of the oldest branches of Monte Paschi di Siena bank dating from 1487!, is very near and Chiusi Scalo is the main train station for the area. Outdoor Space

The fenced–in garden has an apricot tree and an outdoor space for children or al fresco meals with a table and chairs provided. There is also a patio just outside the kitchen. There is a second patio above the sun porch which is an ideal place to admire the countryside, take an afternoon nap, sunbathe or just to read a book.

Interiors

The house is on three levels. The lower level has a dining room and a living room and a glass enclosed sun porch. The kitchen is also on the ground floor. On the first floor there is a single and a double bedroom, on the second floor there are two bedrooms, one is the master bedroom and the other one has three beds. The house can accommodate seven people. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms and a bathroom all with gorgeous views of the Tuscan hills.
